SMS Campaign Compliance Checklist

Important: The website content listed below needs to be updated prior to resubmitting the campaign. Campaign reviewers will check all associated web pages for compliance.


Privacy Policy (konamedicalconsulting.com/privacy-policy)

The privacy policy requires a specific SMS/texting section containing the following disclosures:

  • Mobile contact information will not be shared with any third party or affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.
  • Any Privacy Policy sections discussing information sharing exclude messaging opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
  • Text STOP to unsubscribe from SMS texting.
  • For further assistance, text HELP.
  • Message and data rates may apply.

Contact Page (konamedicalconsulting.com/contact/)

This page requires the same disclosures as the Privacy Policy. In addition to “Reply STOP” and “Message & data rates may apply,” you must add:

  • Message Frequency: e.g., “Receive up to 4 messages per month.”
  • Help Instructions: “Text HELP for help.”
  • Privacy Statement: “We do not share mobile phone information with 3rd parties for marketing purposes.”
  • Use Case Clarification: The current consent message mentions “promotional texts.” You must either change this to “customer service texts” or change the campaign’s use case to “Mixed Marketing and Customer Support” (this will require a new campaign). If adding marketing, you must also provide a marketing sample message.

CTA (Call-to-Action / Message Flow)

Provide a clear narrative of how a user opts into your SMS list. This description must also include all required disclosures. Here is a compliant example:

Clients opt-in to receive text messages from Kona Medical Consulting via the contact tab on our website (https://konamedicalconsulting.com/contact/) by checking an opt-in box that states the following:

“By checking this box, you agree to receive up to 4 text messages per month from Kona Medical Consulting. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for support or STOP to cancel anytime. Mobile contact information will not be sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. View our Privacy Policy.”

Sample Messages

All sample messages submitted with the campaign must include “Kona Medical Consulting” and “Text STOP to unsubscribe”.
